Why we build it

The magic only analog gives —
finally inside the DAW.

For decades, the saturation, the punch, the strange and beautiful distortion of vintage hardware shaped every record we love. None of it can be faked with a one-knob “warmth” plug-in.

noshigeSound exists to bring that magic — every nonlinearity, every stubborn personality — to every DAW user, without compromise. Not a snapshot. The gear itself, in plugin form.

AI Parametric Modeling

Not a snapshot, the gear itself. Each plugin is built around an AI model that learns how the original hardware responds across its entire control range.

Authentic Harmonics

The natural saturation, intermodulation, and dynamic curves that make analog gear sound like analog gear — preserved, not approximated.

96 kHz / 32-bit Float

Internal processing at master-grade resolution. Zero compromise from input to render — every plugin runs the same pipeline.

Tight, Musical Low End

Low frequencies are the easiest thing to get wrong. Every model is tuned against the original hardware until the bottom octave matches by ear.

About noshigeSound

Recreating vintage gear at the waveform level.

Souta Tano — the solo developer behind noshigeSound

Hi, I’m Souta — I build and run noshigeSound. As a student I fell for the magic of vintage analog gear, and ever since, I’ve been developing with a single goal: getting a sound as close as possible to it out of a computer. Everything on this site exists for two reasons:

  • 01

    Archive the gear.

Train a massive AI on every response of decaying vintage gear — at the waveform level — to create and preserve a complete digital archive that outlives the circuits.

  • 02

    Share the experience.

Bring an experience close to analog gear, easily, to those who can’t use it for whatever reason — and to those who don’t know it yet.

Thank you for stopping by and reading this far. If one of these plugins earns a place in your sessions, that means the world.

TwinGear · Twin-GTR

An amp simulator built native
at 96 & 48 kHz.

Twin-GTR — Flow view of the eight-slot modular guitar rig

Twin-GTR is built for one kind of guitarist — the one who refuses to settle for “good enough.”

Every gear inside it was trained and built native at 96 kHz — the pipeline you hear is the pipeline that was modeled. Run your session at 44.1, 48, 88.2, or 96 kHz: at 48 and 96 kHz the models run native, and at 44.1 and 88.2 kHz Twin-GTR resamples transparently.

Twin-GTR is still a newborn — twelve straightforward preset gears, nothing more. But the sound is real, all the way down. Pick it up and hear it for yourself.
