1.What we collect

We collect the minimum data required to sell, license, and support our plugins:

  • Account data — email, display name, hashed password.
  • Billing data — collected and stored by Stripe; we receive transaction metadata only (purchase amount, plan, last 4 digits of card for receipts).
  • License + activation data — which plugin is activated on which machine identifier, kept so we can enforce the per-license activation limit and support reactivation requests.
  • Support correspondence — your messages to us when you request help.
  • Web analytics — privacy-respecting page-view counts via Plausible. No cookies, no per-user tracking.

2.What we do not collect

The plugins themselves do not transmit your audio, your project data, or your usage patterns to us. Activation pings only identify the plugin, the license key hash, and a machine identifier — no session content.

3.Why we collect it

  • To sell you the plugin and deliver the license (contractual basis).
  • To enforce license terms (activation limits) (legitimate interest).
  • To respond to support requests (contractual / legitimate interest).
  • To comply with tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

4.Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the service providers that operate our store, and only as needed to run it:

  • Payment processing — to take payment, issue receipts, manage subscriptions, and calculate tax.
  • Transactional email — to deliver receipts, license keys, and account messages.
  • Hosting & infrastructure — to run our website, application, and database (some providers are located in the EU).
  • File delivery — to host and serve installers and demo downloads.

These providers process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements and may not use it for their own purposes. A current list of the specific providers we use is available on request at info@noshigesound.com.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5.International data transfers

The data controller is established in Japan, and some of our service providers are located in the EU or other regions. Where personal data is transferred across borders, we rely on the appropriate safeguards for that transfer (such as the provider's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision) and limit the transfer to what is needed to provide the service.

6.Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data — encryption in transit, encrypted storage of sensitive fields such as license keys, and least-privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7.Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for sign-in session management. We do not use marketing or tracking cookies.

8.Data retention

Account and license data are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support reactivation or warranty claims. Tax-relevant transaction records are retained for the period required by Japanese tax law.

9.Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your account data from the account dashboard. For access or deletion requests that the dashboard does not cover, email info@noshigesound.com.

10.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of our services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.

11.Contact
