Why it matters

  • 01

All four sections of the original British console EQ — a 12 kHz high shelf, a mid peak at six frequencies, a low shelf at four, a high-pass at four — learned across the whole range of every control, not sampled at a few settings.

  • 02

Two sizes of the same model. LITE is free, needs no license, and is light on the CPU. PRO is roughly five times larger and renders the hardware at full fidelity — PRO is the only thing you pay for.

  • 03

The faceplate, plus a graphic EQ pane: drag the bands on a live curve over an input / output spectrum, then shape the gain stage with stepped input gain, phase, auto gain, trim and mix.

About

What it is.

noshige73 is the EQ section of a British console preamp that has been on records for more than half a century, recreated by training AI on the real unit across its full parameter space — every band, every frequency position, every gain, and the way they interact. Not one curve per setting: a parametric model of the circuit.

The controls are the hardware’s. A 12 kHz high shelf, a mid peak switchable from 360 Hz to 7.2 kHz, a low shelf from 35 to 220 Hz and a high-pass from 50 to 300 Hz, each band with ±16 dB of continuous gain. Next to the faceplate, a graphic EQ pane draws the resulting curve and lets you drag the bands directly, with a spectrum analyser showing input and output. Stepped input gain, phase invert, auto gain, input / output trim and a mix control round it out.

LITE and PRO are two sizes of the same AI model, trained on the same hardware. LITE is free, needs no license, and is the default. PRO is about five times larger and is what you buy. Until you activate it, PRO runs as an open-ended trial: the full model, with a ten-second burst of noise mixed in roughly every half minute, so you can take your time deciding.

Half a century of console EQ, native in your DAW — and the free tier is there so you can hear it for yourself first.

LITE

Freeforever · no license needed

The lighter model of the same hardware, and the default when you open the plugin. Install it and use it — nothing to activate, nothing to pay, no time limit.

PRO

The full-size model — about five times LITE, the hardware at full fidelity. Pick one of the three. Until it is activated, PRO runs as an open-ended trial with a short noise burst roughly every half minute.
