One-paragraph version

noshigeSound is a one-person plugin studio out of Tokyo that builds 96 kHz, parametric models of classic hardware — the 1176-style noshige76, the LA-2A-style noshige2A, and the guitar amp suite Twin-GTR. Every plugin ships with a 14-day full-feature demo and runs on macOS and Windows in VST3 / AU. Phase 1 launch: 2026-06-06.

Products

Three plugins, one operator.

  • Twin-GTR

    Guitar amp suite · VST3 / AU · macOS · Windows

96 kHz parametric amp models. No neural net, no impulse responses — the circuit parameters are captured and re-run at 4× oversampling so transients survive intact. Clean, crunch, lead all in one plugin.

  • noshige76

    1176-style FET compressor · VST3 / AU · macOS · Windows

A modern take on the 1176 character — fast, aggressive, with the same shoulder you reach for on drums, bass, and vocals. 96 kHz path, no aliasing tradeoffs.

  • noshige2A

    LA-2A-style optical compressor · VST3 / AU · macOS · Windows

Audio samples

Hear it before you write it.

WAV 24-bit / 96 kHz, bypass-vs-engaged, per product. Useful when you want to A/B against your existing chain without installing another plugin. Email for the current build — we send fresh renders so you are always working from the latest DSP.

Founder

Souta Tano

Souta Tano is the founder and sole developer of noshigeSound Co. Ltd. (のしげさうんど株式会社). A working session musician and DSP engineer based in Tokyo, he started noshigeSound after a decade of building one-off processing chains for studios that could not justify a commercial license budget.

noshigeSound's design philosophy is "recreate, do not emulate" — every plugin is built around AI parametric models of the actual hardware, not a snapshot of one preset. Souta does the DSP, UI, copy, support, and shipping personally.
